Christy McFaul Saunders

Christy McFaul Saunders, a 1988 Graduate of the University of Maryland, began her career as a judicial law clerk in Baltimore and by 1990 was an Assistant State’s Attorney for Carroll County, serving the county for the next five years. In her role as ADA for Carroll County she tried a variety of cases to include DUI, child abuse, and homicide.

From 1995-1996, Christy served as the District Court Division Supervisor for Frederick County and was a member of the homicide team. In 1996, she joined Hickman, Ulsch & Honiker and quickly rose to partner in 1997 creating Ulsch, McFaul Saunders and Wright.

Christy M. Saunders & Associates, LLC, her own firm, started in September 2017. Christy is an articulate trial lawyer and a member of Maryland Trial Lawyers Association with solid experience in domestic and civil litigation cases.  She actively practices in Baltimore, Carroll, Frederick, Harford, Howard, and Anne Arundel Counties.

Chris joined the Law Office of Christy McFaul Saunders in August, 2017 as the firm’s first Associate Attorney. His prior experience performing discovery in high-stakes litigation and preparing witness testimony for arbitration has proven to be a valuable skill when approaching trial, mediation, and settlement negotiation in family law cases.

 

Chris represents clients in custody, child support, divorce, and other family law matters in the Maryland Circuit and District courts.  He is always eager to perform research on the most cutting-edge legal issues to ensure that his clients avail themselves of the most current case and statutory law.

 

Before joining The Law Office of Christy McFaul Saunders, Chris also held positions with Fagomen, Bernsen, Del Rey and Loewy, LLP in Washington, DC Pepco Holdings, Inc. in Washington, DC and Wilmington Trust in Wilmington DE.

 

As an Intern Chris had the opportunity to work with a Legal Action Group in London, England performing research on legal issues affecting civil rights for those who failed to gain access to the UK legal system

 

Chris received his Juris Doctorate from the Georgetown University Law Center in Washington DC, and graduated Cum Laude from American University with a BA in Philosophy.

 

Chris has been a member of the Maryland State Bar since December 2015. While not engaged in the practice of law, Chris practices yoga and continues his study of philosophy.  His yogic philosophy heavily informs his style of representation—he seeks to bring balance, serenity, and focus into what is often the most unstable and hectic time of his client’s lives.
